Rural Spay/Neuter & Vaccination Clinics

The Coconino Humane Association has expanded services to provide essential spay/neuter and vaccine services for pets where local resources may not be available. We wish to provide essential vaccinations  that limit the spread of deadly pet diseases such as canine distemper, parvovirus, and rabies. This work improves the health of dogs and cats throughout Northern Arizona.

Through generous grants from the Arizona Companion Animal Spay Neuter Committee (http://www.azpetplates.org) and Best Friends Animal Society we are in the planning stage for six rural spay neuter clinics in 2021.

Trap-Neuter-Release

This program helps limit the stray and feral cat population by trapping stray cats, spaying/neutering them, and then releasing them back where they were found. It’s one of the best ways to limit the number of stray cats that we and other shelters receive.

If you are caring for a community cat colony – we can help!

Contact the Coconino Humane Association (928) 526-1076 for spay and neuter assistance.

Education

The education department functions in many areas. Instructors provide schools, day care centers, and other groups in our community the opportunity to be informed of the importance of having pets spayed or neutered, as well as other topics including bite prevention, health care, animal cruelty, and general obedience training.
